The Importance Of Developing Pre-writing Motor Skills

In much the same way children go through the developmental milestones of rolling over, sitting up, crawling, standing, walking and then running, they also have to go through similar development stages so that when they come to the table they are ready to write. Many children sadly are being asked to write when they do not have these baseline skills established. It’s similar to asking a young child who can only just stand, to play football. Recognising and understanding these stages is essential in preparing children for handwriting and preventing later problems. Informative and interactive session.
