The Price of Pupil Poverty: Narrowing the Disadvantage Gap – SOLD OUT!

This session is now SOLD OUT!

The hidden costs of the school day can leave many pupils disadvantaged and not able to fulfil their potential.

With children’s rights and wellbeing embedded throughout, the Price of Pupil Poverty guides offer an insight and practical solutions to the issues faced by pupils from low income and disadvantaged families and can be used as a tool by schools to reduce the barriers created by poverty.

This session will take you through the key areas of guides and the research and rationale behind them as well as demonstrating how the guides can be implemented using a whole school approach. Information on free resources, ideas on how to implement the guides and best practice examples will also be shared.

The session aims to highlight the positive impact that acting on key areas can have to ensure that ‘no child is left behind’ as a result of pupil poverty.
