The Whole Teacher

Just as we look at the whole child when considering powerful learning, so must we look at the whole teacher when developing them professionally. Attrition rates in teaching suggest that we don’t currently do this. Before countless more teachers leave the profession, it’s time to rethink how we support and empower them to become ‘model learners’ for their students. Just as effective teaching considers the whole child, so effective professional development must consider the whole teacher, their health and wellbeing as well as their knowledge and skills.
