Difference, not deficit: the AET’s approach to Good Autism Practice

This seminar will cover:

• The importance of positive attitudes and reducing stigma to create an inclusive setting
• Monmouthshire’s experience of being an AET partner, the impact they’ve had in their first year and their learnings so far
• Videos and resources from the Monmouthshire Autistic Young Experts
• Overall, how improving understanding and acceptance of autistic pupils amongst peers and staff can improve wellbeing for all

The seminar will be jointly delivered by Dr. Sarah Broadhurst from the AET and Dr. Morwenna Wagstaff, the lead for AET in Monmouthshire.
