Listening with purpose: Using receptive music therapy to support neurodivergent children

Neurodivergent children – including those with autism, ADHD, sensory processing challenges, and developmental delays – often face difficulties with regulation, attention, and emotional expression. Receptive music therapy, a non-invasive approach focused on structured listening, can offer calming, focusing, and emotionally supportive experiences in the classroom. This seminar introduces educators to the principles of receptive music therapy and equips them with practical listening-based strategies that are safe, simple, and effective for use in school settings.
