Wrexham AFC Primary Dragons: Sharing good practice

Wrexham AFC Football Trust have worked in partnership with Achieve More Training, Youth Sport Trust and Active Wrexham to use the recent global publicity to make a difference to the local communities of Wrexham through school engagement.

Using the ‘Place based approach’ and ‘Physical Literacy’ informed practice to support schools school leaders, teachers and TA’s with systems, policies and practices to improve health and wellbeing opportunities for children and young people.

This project has been research led and data driven to improve:
• School ethos environment and culture
• Active travel to and from school
• Active break and lunch times
• Extra-curricular activities
• Formal Curriculum
