Courageous ALN/SEND leadership is not about having all the answers, it is about being prepared to ask the questions others avoid. This session explores how leaders and ALNCos/SENCOs can create cultures where inclusion is everybody’s responsibility. We will consider courageous decision-making, staff confidence, curriculum flexibility, resource allocation and balancing individual need with whole-school priorities. Delegates will examine where established systems may unintentionally create barriers and how thoughtful, values-led leadership can remove them. Inclusion requires more than good intentions, sometimes it requires the courage to do things differently.
