ADHD, Autism and Literacy: How we can support children and young people in the classroom

The literacy requirements of your classroom can present many challenges for children and young people with Autism and ADHD, this seminar will explore the reasons, particularly focusing upon the attentional and working memory systems.

In this interactive, evidence-based seminar, we will explore practical strategies to create a reader and writer friendly classroom environment for children and young people with Autism and/or ADHD, including working with the ADHD and Autistic attentional and working memory systems, engagement and practical support for writing.  Following a brief overview of the challenges, the seminar will offer practical ideas, structures and activities that delegates can try the following day.
