Teaching with AI without losing the learning: Practical strategies from learning science

What does good classroom practice look like when students can generate answers almost instantly?

Moving from theory to practice, this session uses learning science and metacognition to explore practical approaches to AI-supported learning. Through classroom examples, delegates will consider how to activate thinking before AI is introduced, help learners decide when and why to use it, encourage questioning rather than answer seeking, evaluate AI-generated information, and reflect on what has actually been learned. Delegates will leave with practical strategies for secondary and FE settings they can adapt immediately.
