Safeguarding against digital harms – gaming, influencers & gambling

Young people today are uniquely exposed to digital influences that increase their risk of gambling harms in ways no previous generation has experienced. In 2024, an estimated 85,000 young people in the UK were experiencing harm from their own gambling. Games features, targeted advertising, and social media content all contribute to normalising gambling behaviours among under-18s.
Get Ahead of the Game and strengthen your safeguarding approach and address these emerging risks. Our workshop links to the RSE curriculum, helping you equip learners with critical thinking skills around decision-making and social pressures: essential tools for safeguarding their health, well-being, and future.
