This session will provide practical strategies for making learning irresistible, rebuilding classrooms where curiosity is visible and both pupils and teachers feel the spark again.
This uplifting and practical session explores how to create learning experiences that will spark curiosity and encourage participation and engagement in even the least enthusiastic learners.
Delegates will leave with simple, adaptable strategies that make learning feel purposeful, participatory and hard to resist, while rediscovering why you came into teaching in the first place. There will be opportunities to try out exciting teaching techniques that capture the imagination and interest of learners of all ages, as well as innovative strategies to spice up even the driest and most uninspiring topics and skills.
We will explore ways to motivate and energise passive learners, with activities designed to get every learner actively involved. We will also look at tricks to put the kudos back into working hard, techniques for building confidence in the most reluctant learners and ways to make learning happen without over-relying on teacher talk.
