This session explores how teachers from all settings can use AI safely and purposefully to raise standards for every learner. We will unpack the DfE Product Safety Standards alongside Welsh Government guidance, explaining what they mean and how to judge whether a tool meets them before use. Drawing on Wales’ recent PISA reading results and findings from NPEP funded research, we will consider where AI can make a genuine difference, from adapting texts for different reading ages to supporting learners with additional learning needs. Practical demonstrations will show how safe AI can save planning time, personalise reading provision and engage learners.
