Serious safeguarding failures rarely begin with a single catastrophic decision. More often, they start with small boundary violations, unchecked assumptions and cultural blind spots that gradually become normalised. Drawing on research, this seminar will help delegates identify the situational, vulnerability and institutional risks unique to their setting. Participants will explore how safeguarding culture can act as the “Velcro” that prevents poor practice from gaining traction and will leave with practical tools to assess risk, challenge complacency and strengthen a sustainable culture where concerns are noticed, discussed and acted upon.
