Effective Classroom Strategies for Neurodiverse Children and young People

This seminar will explore the principal overarching classroom strategies to support neurodiverse pupils. The session will include the following content areas:

1. How to structure and deliver personalised approaches.
2. Neurodiverse friendly classroom cultures and supporting communication and interaction.
3. How to encourage a strength based approach for neurodiverse learners.
4. A particular focus upon Working memory and executive functioning.
5. The centrality of engagement and how to plan for this.

This evidence based session will refer to a range of neurodiverse conditions, including Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and Tourette’s Syndrome.
