Is Health Education a Waste of Time?

This seminar suggests that some of the schemes of learning and pedagogy that educators are expected to follow are unlikely to produce the desired health outcomes for children and young people.

We counter this by describing some evidence-informed approaches, which are more likely to enable children and young people to make pro-social, pro-health decisions and provide practical examples that teachers can take away and put into practice in their classrooms – without adding significantly to teachers’ workload.
